By Rita Chioma,
In a recent encounter with Allure Vanguard, Tisan Bako, popular award winning, On Air Personality behind the popular drive time show –Power Play on Ray Power Network, spoke on his fashion side,  his future plans, as well as how he conquered the Barracks lifestyle.
Excerpts below…
Can you share more about yourself?
My name is Tisan Jeremiah Bako popularly known as Tisan Bako or just Tisan
I’m a Nigerian radio personality, event host and occasionally an actor. Best known for hosting the drive time show (power play) on Raypower 100.5 Fm. I was born on April 16 in Nigeria and attended command children school Ribadu cantonment Kaduna. After my primary education, my family moved to Lagos,
How long have you been in the media?
I have been in the media for almost 10 years. Started 2007. I’m shooting my first film; Diary of a model.
How was your growing up days like?
Growing up was fun because I grew up in the barracks, where you interact with different people from different parts of the country. You get to learn their culture, which is quite exciting.
Do you have fond memories of barracks…?
One time we were coming back from Chosen and we went through a road we weren’t supposed to and the Army guys caught us and asked us to do frog jump. After it our legs started shaking. Funny thing is my friend that we were caught together has now joined the army. We were talking recently and he reminded of that day.
So, why the choice of media?
I’ve always loved the radio. Always wanted to share my opinion, how I feel on issues with people. Also love sharing music as well. Whenever I come across a good song I want everyone to hear it.
What’s the most interesting experience you have had on radio?
The some of the great experiences include positive feedback from listeners. Then being nominated for awards and also winning
Which of the awards?
I’ve won the award for, 1. Nigeria Entertainment award – best on air personality (2016)
2. Nigeria Broadcasters merit award – outstanding radio personality (2015)
3. Top Naija Music Award – on air personality of the year (2016)
4. Nigerian Oscars – student favorite radio personality of the year (2015)
Nominations include; Nigeria broadcasters merit award – Broadcaster of the year (2015),  Nigeria Media Merit Award – Broadcaster of the year (2015) and Nigeria Media Merit Award – sexiest on air personality of the year (2016). Quite a lot.
If not radio, what else would you be doing?
If not radio I would have been a doctor or a teacher. Doctor Bako.
What’s your favorite fashion item?
That would be shoes. I have over a hundred pairs.
Favorite designers?
Favorite Nigerian designer is Dotun CEO of fresh by Dotun FBD.
Between Wristwatch and Glasses, which would go for?
I would go for glasses. I once spent over 2k euros on 2 pairs of glasses in Paris.
Locks or low-cut?
Low cut. But I love Locks on people though. Might have to try it soon.
Where do you see your brand in 5 years’ time?
In 5 years’ time I see my brand being spread to other ventures and doing great. Also in 5 years’ time I should be doing some serious philanthropic works.
