Singer, Small Doctor revels his mum inspired hit song ‘Penalty’

Temitope Adekunle, popularly called by his stage name, Small Doctor is the rave of the moment with his hit song ‘Penalty’ which has been dominating the airwaves for quite some time.

In a recent chat with HipTV, he talked about his journey into stardom. According to the singer,  his mother  influenced his music greatly giving him ideas that he should incorporate into his music. He revealed that she was the one that came up with the line “Won ti gba penalty lo throwing.”

He recounted some unpleasant experiences that he would never forget like when the bike he had saved up to buy was stolen in the studio, and when he was almost lynched after giving a ride on his bike to thieves, who snatched his phone.

Speaking on his inspiration on his hit song, ‘Penalty’, Small doctor said:

“It is nothing but the grace of God, the streets and my mum. She calls me and gives me idea and say can’t you just infuse this thing into your sound and let’s see how it goes. So that is what inspires “Won ti gba penalty lo throwing”
