Fuji musician, Alhaji Abass Akande AKA Obesere has been speaking on reasons he doesn’t celebrate his birthday since he was born.
The musician cum actor, who recently added a year was asked by a guest, this morning, on a Television programme why he doesn’t celebrate birthdays.
He had this to say: “Since I was born, I have never for once organized a birthday party for myself. My birthdays are mostly done behind closed door. I mean between myself, wife, kids and the other members of the family in my sitting room”.
“This is because, I am expecting something from God almighty and immediately I get it, of course the doors will be opened for celebrations. I will still organize ostentatious parties for my coming birthdays but for now, I am still looking up to God to grant my request. And I believe strongly that very soon, it will all make more sense”, he said.
