Okechukwu Onyegbule, better known by his stage name Okey Bakassi, who is undoubtedly among the of the forerunners of the comedy in Nigeria, has a word for celebrities who claim that marriage affects their fame.
Using United States rapper, Jay Z and his superstar wife, Beyonce as a case study, the comedian stated that celebrities should stop using marriage as the hindrance to their fame.
He wrote:
“Arguably the richest couple in the Music world Jay-Z and Beyonce with massive fan base. I’ve heard some celebrities say, if you marry you lose some of your fans from the opposite sex. I don’t care if it’s true or not. #justdoyou
If #marriage is your thing do it, if it’s not stay your lane…. stop giving useless excuses.
