Read excerpts from the interview below:

What is the essence of Luxury Model Search Nigeria?
“Luxury Model Search Nigeria is basically a platform for young girls to diverse into whatever they want or go into.It is about creating opportunities for young girls in Nigeria. In terms of not promoting fakery, there is a lot of fakery in Nigeria.”
What makes Luxury Model Search Nigeria different from other pageants?Like I said, there is a lot of fakery. A lot of model agencies, promise to do alot of things for their models but fail. Luxury Model Search Nigeria would not be doing that. We are going to be through to our words.

We are going to push them into what they want to do, whether it is modelling, for a year. And if it is acting, we can push them to that line. So it is not limited. We are ideally like their backbones.”

Who is the ‘ideal’ model?

There is no ideal model. Luxury Model Search Nigeria competition is not limited. The winner could be curvy, the winner can be very very tall ….anybody. At the moment, it is just for females.

Since it is our first launch, we would start with females only and gradually we build it up. Probably, next year, we would incorporate the male.

What is your say on stereotypes?

In every field, there is going to be negativity. Whatever you do, people would talk good and bad about you.

The perceptions are already there. We are going to build a platform that can change this mindset. For me, it is about the change made about the girl who wins.

I can only improve this perceptions and not change this stereotypes”
