Nigeria’s former minister of finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is in mournful mood at the moment.
Her father, Obi (Professor) Chukuka Okonjo, the Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom, aged of 91, has passed on.
In a tweet on Friday, she announced the Ascension to the throne of the Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom of my brother, Obi Ifechukwude Chukuka Okonjo, upon the passing away of her father, Obi (Professor) Chukuka Okonjo.
She wrote: “It is with thanks to Almighty God that I announce two impactful events: the Ascension to the throne of the Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom of my brother, Obi Ifechukwude Chukuka Okonjo, upon the passing away of my father Obi (Professor) Chukuka Okonjo at the age of 91.”
