Afrobeat artist, Seun Kuti, has debunked suggestion that Burna Boy’s mum, Bose Ogulu, danced for his father, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
Seun made the statement on Facebook by Olumide Iyanda.
Mr Iyanda had written, “Burna Boy’s mum never danced for Fela.”
Singer, Baba Dee, then posted a picture of Fela and one his dancers who many falsely believe is Burna Boy’s mum in the comment section of Iyanda’s post.
Replying, Seun wrote: “That isn’t Burna Boy’s mum. Except Burna Boy’s mum is Yemi.”
He later added: “I’m sure my dad didn’t even know her even if Uncle B was his manager.”
Uncle B is Benson Idonije, the broadcaster, writer and music critic who was Fela’s first band manager.Mr Idonije is the father of Burna Boy’s mum.
Many social media users erroneously believe that Mrs Ogulu danced for Fela after her father managed the Afrobeat icon’s band.
