Davido dissociate himself from Commonwealth of Zion Assembly COZA of Pastor Fatoyinbo

DMW’s boss, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has dissociated himself from the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) and its Senior Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo.

Davido dissociated himself from the Pastor and the COZA Church while reacting to a viral video misrepresenting him (Davido) and showing his alleged involvement in a Christmas advert by the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA).

The video showed Davido, a little girl and a lady talking about a 12 Days of Glory Christmas event set to take place at the church whose leader, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo had being on the news in recent times over an accusation unconnected to rape by Busola Dakolo, wife of soulmate singer Timi Dakolo.

Issuing a statement to clear the air, Davido took to his social media handle to clear the air, stressing that he has nothing whatsoever to do with COZA and Pastor Fatoyinbo.

Below is his Post he released on his social media.

However, the lady who appeared in the viral video has also taken to her social media handle to clear the air on Davido’s misrepresented involvement with COZA and its Senior Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo in a post that reads thus; “I would like to make some clarifications on the video I recorded with @davidoofficial for my church, the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA). The video was in no way intended to be an official ad from the church. It was simply my way of raising awareness for a program I am passionate about.

I have read reports online claiming that Davido is coming to the program as an ambassador of COZA because of the video, these reports are false. He recorded that video with me and my daughter as a favour to a friend, nothing more. Also, my pastor, Pastor Biodun only reposted the video from my page because he has been reposting videos about the program. My video wasn’t the only one on his page.

The video was a product of my excitement about 12DG and there was no malice intended. I apologize for the confusion and misrepresentation, and once again I’d like to say I acted as an individual and not as an official representative of COZA. Thank you”
