As we approach the much- anticipated Valentine’s Day, Allure Vanguard shares the inspiring love story of these 10 celebrity  couples, who in the midst of all marital tribulations held their love forte.

Olu and Joke Jacobs

The union of veteran actors, Olu Jacobs and Joke Silva, is a shining  celebrity marriage with an exemplary love life. Having recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary, and three kids, the couple have earned their bragging rights. In a recent interview, Joke shared some lessons marriage has taught her. “The journey has been incredible and extremely interesting. It has also been one of learning. When my storms came, it was also a learning curve for both sides (my husband and I), we both had to learn to forgive each other.

I learnt that marriage is not a destination; it’s a continuous journey, and somehow, it seems like the enemy knows that, so he says, “So, you weathered this storm, let me throw another one, let me see whether you will weather this one,” she said.

Jay Jay and Nkechi Okocha

Former Super Eagles captain, Augustine Azuka “Jay Jay” Okocha and his beautiful wife, Nkechi have been married for 22 years.

They tied the knots while he was still plying his professional football trade in Europe.  Nkechi has been nothing but loving and supportive throughout his career.

Now that he is retired, Okocha spends more quality time with his wife and their two children, Daniela and Ajay.

RMD and Jumobi Damijo

Richard Mofe-Damijo, who is fondly  called RMD after his initials, is not only a talented actor, but also, a happy family man. A few years after his first wife, May Ellen-Ezekiel passed on in 1996, RMD found love again in Jumobi Adegbesan who was then, a famous television personality. It’s been a smooth sail for the couple and they are blessed with four children. With an older son from his previous relationship, that makes   Richard Mofe-Damijo a happy father of five.

Speaking on what begets happy marriage,  RMD says, partners should endeavor to listen to each other and be open with themselves.

Twenty-four years in marriage has been an enjoyable experience for  Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde and her darling husband Capt. Matthew Ekeinde.

Come, June 25, Tunde and Wunmi Obe aka T.W.O, would be marking their 22nd wedding anniversary. The talented musicians got hitched way back in 1998 and they are still thrilled to be together 22 years. that During one of their anniversaries, Tunde’s commemorative message on social media, expressed his gladness for having the right person to fulfil his life’s dreams.
