French designer Olivier Rousteing and Creative Director of Balmain was top on the fashion radar last week, after presenting a collection of colourful looks made during the coronavirus pandemic aimed at bringing back joy into fashion.
Balmain rounded off the third day of a digitally integrated Paris Fashion Week with an embodiment of French sophistication. Amidst physical and digital attendees, the designer presented a collection that consisted of bold shoulders, fluorescent formal wear and monochrome ensembles, some pared-down with denim, completing a collection of both youthfulness and uniformity.
With bold, bright colours as the thrust of the collection, the menswear was also dressy, with well-tailored neon sailor suits. In all, Balmain’s spring 2021 collection is bold, colourful, vibrant and all things audiences have come to expect and love about fashion.
