Fully vaccinated people do not need to wear masks outside and can skip wearing them indoors in most places, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The CDC expects that this will encourage more people to get vaccinated in the United States. They say that in most places, properly immunized individuals would not need to physically distance themselves.
The latest guideline was focused on a dramatic decrease in cases, the introduction of vaccines to younger people, and vaccine effectiveness against coronavirus strains, according to CDC Director Rochelle Walensky.
