JAMB says it may postpone 2021 UTME

The Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has stated that the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which is set to take place between June 5 and June 19, 2021, could be postponed.

This is a response to certain candidates’ difficulties in registering for the exams, as well as the possible duration of the application period.

Professor Is’aq Oloyede, the Registrar of JAMB, made the announcement during a Zoom meeting with stakeholders dubbed, ‘Briefing session for the committees on 2021 UTME’.

The commission, according to Oloyede, will consider whether to prolong the registration period and alter the date of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Test, but the Mock examination will still take place on May 20 as planned.
