Vibrant Elegance: A Detailed Review of the Paterna Print Collection by Tomfin Couture

By Yemisi Suleiman

Tomfin Couture released its latest collection, the Paterna Print Collection. The collection features different types of Ankara prints mixed in such a beautiful way that the wearer will definitely get compliments.

The colorful combinations of the various Ankara prints combined with the crafting of other designs on the dresses in this collection are a lot to behold.

The Paterna Print Collection has dresses containing at least two different Ankara fabrics. The design is such that some fabrics are merged through Inlay while some had the fabrics cut and sewn on top of a plain Ankara to give the illusion of Patterns on Plain.

The dresses are short and long gowns in empire waist, high, low, and feminine Kaftan styles. There are some Skirts and Blouses in the collection. A few of the designs on the clothes are intricately woven yet beautifully crafted to add to the beauty of the dresses in the collection.

Some of the blouses have puffy sleeves, while some are short-sleeved with a V-neck embroidery to add to the beauty of the blouse. A few blouses are made after the boubou style but as mini-boubou gowns complete with skirts.

The skirts are made in A-line with narrow waists and a flared silhouette. There were also skirts with ruffles; some of these ruffles are made from the fabric itself, while some clothes have other plain but colorful fabrics used as part of the ruffles.

One must appreciate the consistency of the designer in ensuring that the clothes in this collection have pockets no matter how small, hidden, or even outrightly obvious they are made to be.

The Paterna Print collection has colors that are bound to make one feel like a really stunning butterfly in a garden of wonderful flowers.

The colors are Blue, White, Pink, Yellow, Red, Purple, Black, and other colors. Each dress contains as many as three colors or more, and the skillful combination of these colors creates unique yet visually and physically appealing blends.

As much as one can go on and on about the beauty that the Patterna Prints collection has been created to be, it is sad that few of the designs are such that they can be worn by teenagers, young adults, and even older adults.

It begs the question as to why it is being described as being for Middle-aged women when there is, in fact, something for everyone. We hope that the next collection from Tomfin Couture is exciting to anticipate.
