Chris Hemsworth reveals he is at high risk of getting alzheimer

Popular Hollywood actor, Chris Hemsworth, has revealed that he is at a high risk of getting Alzheimer’s.

On his brand-new Disney+ series, Limitless, the actor revealed this on Thursday while sharing his anxiety.

Additionally, he revealed to George Stephanopoulos during a visit to Good Morning America the rigorous bloodwork he had done for a series episode had revealed that he has a higher risk of acquiring Alzheimer’s Disease than the average population.

Dr. Peter Attia, a specialist in aging, confirmed to the actor that he has two copies of APOE4 in a clip from the National Geographic program that was released on GMA and shows Chris putting his physical and mental fortitude to the ultimate test.

“We’ve got every blood test one can get and you have two copies of APOE4, a set from your mom and a set from your dad… that means you have an increased risk of Alzheimer’s Disease,” Dr. Attia told Hemsworth.

Chris has an eight to ten times greater risk of developing Alzheimer’s than the average person since he carries the greatest risk gene for the condition, APOE4.

Hemsworth expressed his greatest worry of forgetting his family in the same video. “The idea that I won’t be able to remember the life I’ve experienced or my wife, my kids, this is probably my biggest fear.”

The “Thor” star cited the outcome as motivating for him to make certain changes in his way of living. “It very quickly became another wonderful motivation to make some changes and arm myself with all the tools to live a healthier, better life,” Hemsworth said.

Hemsworth’s test findings, according to Dr. Attia, are a blessing since they may inspire him to take care of his brain.

“It’s my belief that if we take every step possible, we can reduce your risk to that of anyone else,” Dr. Attia told Hemsworth.

“I think any of the motivations for living better can come in many shapes and forms.

Whatever I’m going to do now to protect my brain’s health will benefit every other aspect of my health and well-being,” the actor added.
