American costume designer, Ruth Carter, has become the first Black woman to win two Oscar nominations.
In the 2023 award competition, she took home the prize for costume design.
For her work on “Black Panther,” she became the first black person to win the Oscar for costume design in 2019.
The 95th Academy Awards were presented on Sunday at the Dolby Theatre in Downtown Hollywood, with a number of celebrities accepting awards in various categories.
All 23 categories received Oscar statuettes, with “Everything Everywhere All at Once” taking home the prize for Best Picture.
