Lagos monarch remembers former APC Woman Leader, Kemi Nelson

Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Elegushi, has paid tribute to the memory of former APC Woman Leader, Chief Kemi Nelson, one year after her death.

Chief Nelson, a former South-West Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and ex-NSITF executive director, died on July 17, 2022, at the age of 66 after a brief illness.

In a post on his official Instagram page, the monarch described Chief Nelson as a friend and sister, saying that they will continue to hold on to her legacies.

“To live in the hearts of those who love you, is not to die”

It’s been a year since you departed but the memory of your time on this sides remains indelible.

You were a great friend, a darling sister and a community builder.

We are consoled by your legacies and we continue to hold them in fond memories of you.

May your soul continue to rest in perfect peace, Chief (Mrs) Kemi Nelson (Yeye Sewa of Lagos),” he wrote.
