Yemisi Suleiman, Frank Osodi, Others Honoured At Lauraben Icon Awards

The annual LauraBen Icons Awards and Fashion Show took place on Saturday, November 18th in Lekki, Lagos. Now in its second year, the event is committed to honouring extraordinary individuals who are defining the narrative of career greatness across multiple areas. This year’s honorees include Vanguard Allure, Yemisi Suleiman. She was named 2023 Media Personality/ Fashion Journalist of the Year. Other recipients include Engineer Deus Uche Osuji (Tech Man of the Year 2023), and Chief Ibe Boco Hospitality Man of the Year 2023, while Empress Njamah was named Humanitarian of the Year 2023. Legendary Lifetime Achievement Awards went to two personalities; Frank Osodi and Dr. Ngozi Omambala, Chioma Nwosu was Most Inspiring Actress in 2023, and Kenneth Nwadike as Most Outstanding Actor in 2023. Show host and TV Personality, Denrele Edun was named Most Fashionable Male 2023, Ejiro Amos Tafiri was named Most Creative Designer 2023 (womenswear), and Kiki Omeili was named Most Outstanding Actress 2023, among others.
The event climaxed with the fashion show with emerging designers exhibiting their originality and elegance on the runway. While thanking attendees, the Chief Executive of the House of Laura Ben stated that the LauraBen Icon Awards are intended to reward achievement and dedication to service, and this year’s awardees were recognized for distinguishing themselves in their various sectors. Ovo Ogufere produced the well-attended event, which was hosted by Charles Born and Okiemute.
