Nigeria’s international fashion brand, AsakeOge Couture, recently stunted on the international scene, when it unveiled its latest collection, ‘The AsakeOge Osùn Collection’ at the African Fashion and Music Festival, held at the Globe Theatre Los Angeles, USA.
Inspired by Osun- an African (Yoruba) goddess famous for her strength and resourcefulness, the collection featured ultra-soft feminine silhouettes using luxurious silk, chiffon, and lamè fabrics.
Each piece exuded playfulness, sensuality, luxury, and sophistication through the use of fringe, asymmetrical hems, sheer pieces, gold and appliqué details, embodying the strength and grace of a goddess within every woman.
Described by Asake Agoro, Founder, AsakeOge Couture, as a showcase of the brand’s dedication to empowering women and celebrating their individuality, the collection, according to her, aligns with the trends of New York Fashion Week 2023, with its incorporation of bold colours, intricate details and feminine silhouettes.
