It was a most memorable time for members of UK government delegates, on a trade and business exploration tour to Nigeria recently, as they were treated to a warm reception by leading African makeup firm Beauty by AD.

The event, held at the Beauty by AD edifice in Lekki Phase 1 Lagos, to lower trade barriers between nations by showcasing local businesses to foreign investors, began with a welcome dance highlighting the Yoruba cultural history and the Eyo masquerade of the people of Lagos.

Nankling Danfulani, UK Deputy Trade Commissioner for Africa, expressed gratitude for the warm reception, stating that the visit intended to present local businesses to foreign investors, in order to enhance a trading investment partnership and ensure trade barriers between countries are broken, via enabling British companies to collaborate and enter the Nigerian market. She noted that Nigeria was the first nation in Africa to benefit from the programme.

Adeola Chizoba Adeyemi, the founder and chief executive officer of Beauty by AD, discussed the brand’s modest beginnings, sustainability programme, and future objectives. She pointed out that the UK department’s investigation offers Nigeria’s beauty industry’s top brands and individuals the chance to realise their full potential.

A major highlight of the event was the announcement by Global Beauty Strategist, Eryca Freemantle, of the partnership between UK-established, EATOW Makeup Academy and Beauty by AD, as the Nigerian Accredited establishment, of the renowned global makeup academy.

In attendance on the delegate team was the Founder, of Epara Skincare and luxury brand, Ozohu Adoh, Founder, of Healthplus & Casabella, Bukky George, Representatives from Boohooman Uk, Representative of FCUK, Representative of Leather & Cotton London amongst others.
