Hair Institute treats journalists to free hair counselling, makeover

As part of activities commemorating Women’s History Month, Recare Limited, makers of Natures Gentle Touch, treated female journalists to a media hangout featuring intensive hair counselling and follow-up therapy.

The event, which was held at the Natures Gentle Touch Hair Institute in Ikeja, Lagos, on Tuesday, March 19, had in attendance trichologists, Instructors and members of staff of the institute, provided a veritable platform for interaction and knowledge-sharing on common hair problems suffered by Nigerian women.

Speaking, Chijoke Anaele, Chief Executive Officer of the company, and owner of the institute, said the brand is committed to promoting healthy hair and scalp wellness, as well as addressing diverse hair care needs. Adding that the goal of setting up the Institute is to advance beauty education and training, develop professional competencies in hair styling and increase entrepreneurial spirit for economic development and empowerment of youths.

“We are committed to providing a holistic scientific approach to hair and scalp care, using rich natural ingredients. We have, therefore, developed treatments for various problems such as dandruff, hair breakage, dry hair, weak and damaged hair, as well as slow hair growth among others,” he explained.

Urging Nigerians to embrace indigenous hair care products, especially those formulated with natural ingredients, Anaele reassured them of the brand’s commitment to providing both solutions and information on hair care.

The high point of the hangout was a media tour of the facility reputed to be one of Nigeria’s largest conservatoires of beauty and style education since its establishment in 2006.

The tour, most remarkably, culminated in an exclusive session with the institute’s trainees— all on three-year scholarships with regular stipends by the institute’s practice since birth.

Participants were presented gift cards which further qualified them for a free walk-in hair therapy session at the institute.

To further encourage personal hair care, the journalists were also gifted some of the brand’s range of hair care products, while some of them enjoyed free hair makeovers.
