Analyzing the colorful mini-art collection from elysco fashion

By Rita Okoye

Elysco Fashion introduced its newest collection called the “Colorful Mini-Art” Collection.

The collection is a must-have for every minimalist fashion lover. The collection’s beauty is that it has no design on most of the clothes, but each style is an essential clothing item for men and women to own.

The “Colorful Mini-Art” Collection is a union of colour and minimalist designs to achieve fashion, beauty, and simplistic art in fashion.

The collection includes fabrics like Plain and patterned Ankara, Adire, Crepe, and Cotton. These fabric choices result from the designer Adaeze Lynda Chinedu’s commitment to using minimal fabrics that are equally light to make it a minimalist collection through and through in terms of design, colours and weight.

The collection has gowns of both long and short lengths for the women. There are shirts, trousers, shorts, and even complete Dashiki sets. Interestingly, the men’s pieces also make good fits for women who can own several pieces of the collection initially designed for men themselves.

One of the short gowns has puffed sleeves, starting a little after the armhole. Another long gown is a dual-purpose gown in that it can serve as a gown or a maxi-length skirt, depending on how well the wearer can style it. The shorts are of two types: a little above the knees and a little below the knees.

A few of the shorts have drawstrings, while some have elastic bands for the waist. The trousers are made as plainly as possible, with few made in the utility chic style with numerous functional pockets.

The Dashikis are all full length, meaning they go beyond the knee or the entire length of the wearer, depending on the height.

The Colorful Mini-Art utilized colours such as white, pink, lilac and even green to blend with red, black and brown to achieve a colourful yet minimal look. The only dress one could almost call too colourful was in such a balance with the style of how Adaeze tailored it that one can not help but applaud Adaeze’s gift of Fabric knowledge alongside her tailoring skills.

The collection was widely received at the launch by many fashion enthusiasts at the Warri Fashion Festival which was held on 22nd to the 26th of April 2024.

The collection is a reminder that people have unique tastes and that everything all adds up as beauty depending on the angle from which one views it from
