The GTCO Food and Drinks Festival, a vibrant celebration of culinary delights, recently took place in the heart of Lagos State, attracting food enthusiasts, vendors, and industry experts alike.

Among the array of vendors, Juliana Kanyinsola Ogunsolu, the founder of ThatOfadaGirl Limited, shared her thoughts on the event and her brand’s participation with Allure Vanguard.

She said: “I love the vibrant atmosphere at GT Food and Drinks event,” Juliana exclaimed. “It gave us the perfect opportunity to showcase our delicious foods and drinks.”

When asked if the outing was successful, Juliana’s response was unequivocal. “Absolutely, it was a successful outing for us,” she said. “We connected with new customers, received positive feedback, and saw increased sales.”

However, Juliana also had a suggestion for improvement. “It would be great if they could provide more shaded areas for vendors and attendees to escape the sun during the event,” she suggested.

Discussing the broader impact of events like these, Juliana highlighted their significance for the tourism industry. “Events like these attract food enthusiasts from far and wide, putting the spotlight on local cuisine and boosting tourism by showcasing the culinary diversity of the region,” she explained.

Participating in events like the GTCO Food and Drinks Festival not only benefits vendors like Juliana but also plays a significant role in the country’s economy. “It contributes to the local economy by generating revenue for vendors, promoting local businesses, and attracting visitors, which in turn stimulates spending in the area,” Juliana added.

Speaking about her brand, Juliana shared insights into ThatOfadaGirl Limited. “Our brand specializes in authentic Nigerian cuisine, particularly our signature Ofada rice dishes,” she said. “We’ve been in the food business for over five years, striving to deliver quality and taste in every bite.”

When asked about the affordability of her brand, Juliana emphasized accessibility. “We pride ourselves on offering delicious, authentic dishes at affordable prices, making our food accessible to everyone,” she assured.

In a lighthearted moment, Juliana revealed which celebrity she would love to see try her Ofada rice. “It would be an honor to have Davido or Tiwa Savage try our Ofada,” she said. “Their influence could introduce our cuisine to a wider audience.”

The GTCO Food and Drinks Festival not only serves as a platform for vendors to showcase their products but also as a melting pot of culture, taste, and community, enriching both the local economy and the culinary landscape.
