Dr Teal’s Celebrates Wellness with Vibrant Nigerian ‘Owambe’

Dr Teal’s, the personal wellness brand, concluded the year with a high-energy cultural celebration, the Dr Teal’s Detty Experience Class of 2025, on November 30.

Held at the Monarch Event Centre, the event successfully merged self-care advocacy with a traditional Nigerian “Owambe” party, complete with cultural performances, culinary delights, and a dedicated spa area.

Mr. Chinedu Okoye, MD/CEO of Perfect Trust Beauty and Wellness (Dr Teal’s distributor), stated the ‘Owambe’ theme was a strategic approach to holistic wellness, aiming to “re-energize and put customers in a relaxed, joyful state. It’s not just about a transactional relationship; we want them to feel our genuine appreciation and understand that joy must be put into everything we do.”

Vivian Odofin Daniel, Strategy Director for Dr. Teal’s Nigeria, reiterated that “wellness should not be a luxury; every Nigerian deserves it as a lifestyle.”

She explained the inspiration behind the “Owambe” theme: “Dr Teal’s is a brand that connects with the culture it operates in. “Nigerians are a community of celebrations. We wanted an event that is culturally relevant. After a tough year for the business and the country, we wanted the best way to connect with our community during this high celebration period. We want them to radiate, get ready to shine for the holidays, and crucially, recover from all the stress.”

The evening, hosted by actress Shaffy Bello, featured performances, luxury dining, and spontaneous customer testimonials praising products like the lavender body wash and Epsom salt soak.

The event drew celebrities, including Denrele Edun and former BBNaija housemate Zita, and culminated in a joyful dance celebration, leaving guests refreshed for the holiday season.
