Faith Morey shows up for kids at State school, Sangana

On 30 March 2026, Faith Morey paid her first visit of the year to State School Sangana in Port Harcourt, a school supported by her Okachi Charity Foundation and as always, she came ready to work.

The trip wasn’t just a check-in. It was a reminder of why she started this in the first place.

The Okachi Charity Foundation is named after Faith’s grandmother, a woman whose spirit of giving quietly shaped who Faith is today. That legacy is what drives the foundation’s work and what keeps bringing Faith back to State School Sangana.

During the visit, Ms. Morey met with the lady who was the principal of State School Sangana when her mother was a teacher there. Moments like that have a way of grounding you in why the work matters.
Faith and her team are putting real structures in place for the children at State School Sangana.

A summer school programme is in the works, designed to keep kids learning, growing, and engaged when the regular school term ends. Beyond that, OCF is actively sourcing and providing the resources these children need to thrive, from educational materials to developmental support.

The goal has always been to give them a genuine shot at more.
During the visit, Faith took time to meet with the volunteer teachers lined up for the summer school, as well as the cleaning staff keeping State School Sangana in good shape. Both groups are on OCF’s payroll, because Faith is intentional about making sure the people who show up for these kids are properly taken care of too.

That kind of thoughtfulness is exactly what sets OCF apart.

As 2026 gets underway, one thing is clear: Faith Morey isn’t slowing down, and neither is OCF. The children of State School Sangana are proof that this kind of work changes lives.
