  1. Cook spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente (about 8-10 minutes, check package). Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.

  3. Add red pepper flakes and a pinch of salt, stirring for 30 seconds.
  4. Add drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat in the oil. If dry, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen.
