This free-form apple pie is incredibly simple to prepare, and the pastry is forgiving. Serve plain or with ice cream or whipped cream of your choice.
Ingredients:
- All-purpose flour – 1 & 1/2 cups
- Salt – 1/4 teaspoon
- Unsalted butter – 1/2 cup
- Ice water – 2 to 3 tablespoons
- Apples – 5 to 6
- Sugar – 5 to 6 tablespoons
- Cinnamon – 1/2 to 1 teaspoon
- Egg – 1
