Oxford also referred to as Balmoral, is the most formal type of men’s shoe. It is timeless and classic. You can identify it with the lacing which is closed.
The Monk
This type of men’s shoes is deal for men with wide width. The monk shoe is half shoe and half boot with double buckle detail.
The Derby
The Derby has a great semblance to the Oxford except that in this case, the lacing is open. Although it was not originally designed to be a formal shoe, it can well be used for this occasion only when the Oxford is not available.

All kinds of slip on footwear fall into this category of shoes. Look for a styles that look formal and classy, especially the black leather type. That way, you’d be able to pull it off for a wedding.
