TV host and actor Denola Grey shares mums’ inspiring success story
TV host and actor, Denola Grey has shared the success story of his mother of how she left working in Oil and Gas for years to start her own business.
Denola was with his mum at the Women in Management, Business and Public Service where she spoke on a panel about negotiation strategies in business.
In an Instagram post, he narrated how she grew her business from a very small location with only two employees and has grown into a 5-branch business with over 100 employees.
Denola wrote: “Super proud of my mama today. Showed up to support her at @wimbizng as she spoke on a panel about negotiation strategies in business, adding value and knowing your worth.
“She is also being awarded at the 12th annual International Womens Entrepeneural Challenge Foundation as a successful Nigerian woman Business owner which is taking place in New Delhi, India this weekend.
“My mom started @schoolkitsng 19 years ago when she was 40 years old; after a lengthy stint working in Oil and Gas. She started that business in a very small location with only 2 employees and has since then, grown into a 5-branch business with over 100 employees, a manufacturing outfit and a wholesale / retail business that services over 500 Nigerian schools and she did all of this while also being an amazing mother to 3 young men.
“Mama, I’m constantly in awe of your work ethic, selflessness and also your bravery and resilience in business.
I’m so proud of you!”
