Canadian-born Ghanaian actress, Jackie Appiah, is a year older today.

Born on December 5, 1983, she clocks 36.

Jackie has been celebrating herself on social media. She posted a lovely picture of herself on her Instagram page with the caption: “Wishing myself a joyous birthday full of God’s amazing blessings.”

“Celebrate my special day with the realization that I am currently in possession of the most priceless gift on Earth – LIFE. Happy birthday to me.” She wrote on another picture.

She made her first onscreen appearance on a popular TV series ‘Things we do for love’ and has since gone on to feature in many movies.

For her prowess, she has also won several awards and nominations, including the awards for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2010 Africa Movie Academy Awards; and Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2007.

Jackie was once married to Peter Agyeman, and they have a son, Damien.
