Be careful with whatever you are doing to your skin – Ex-BBN star, Anto warns

Munirat (Anto) Antoinette Lecky, of the Big Brother Nigeria Season 3 fame, has been speaking on the need to be cautious with what we apply on our skin.

In an Instagram post, Anto noted that it took her some time to be comfortable in her skin as in the past, she had wanted to be lighter.

For her, the need for visible beauty should not affect our health. She added that if you are unsure of the ingredients in a product or service, you are unsure of the results and effects.

“I love my melanin but yes, there was a time when I didn’t love it so much. Growing up, people would always say “You must look like your dad” anytime I went out with my mom because she’s rather light (someone even said this ish just a few days ago 😑). So I had thought I wanted to be lighter. It did take some time for me to be comfortable in my skin, so I understand that people have body positivity issues. However, please be careful with whatever you are doing to your skin! The need for visible beauty should not affect your health! If you are unsure of the ingredients in a product or service, you are unsure of the results and effects! Please be safe out here!

#BrownSkinGirl.”
