Jimmy Odukoya remembers mum 14 years after death, says he misses her
Nollywood actor and motivational speaker, Jimmy Odukoya, has taken to social media to pen down emotional remembrance for his late mum, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya, who died 14 years ago, in Sosoliso flight 1145 crash in Port Harcourt.
Jimmy stated that though the popular televangelist has since been gone, she remains his “living memory,” adding that he misses her.
He also prayed for families who lost their loved ones in the ill-fated crash.
He wrote: “I remember you every day, but it weighs heavy on your birthday and today .. when you left … but Legends never die !! My Living memory🙌🏾🙌🏾 I miss you, mum!! For everyone who suffered loss on this day, 14 years ago in the sosoliso crash, you are in my thoughts and prayers 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Bimbo Odukoya, fondly called “Pastor Bims was married to the founder of the Fountain of Life Church, Taiwo Odukoya.
She was a receiver of over 60 national and international awards for her contributions to nation-building, the development of her country, Nigeria, and the West Africa sub-region, and for leadership as a woman of high moral standards and a role model to many.
A writer, popular televangelist, highly sought conference speaker, youth mentor, and marriage counsellor, she was one of several individuals chosen by Samsung to represent Nigeria in carrying the Olympic Torch in Athens, Greece at the 2004 Olympic Games.
She died as a result of the Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 crash.
