New year goals: Detoxify yourself

January 1,2020
Share:

This is one of the best thing you can do for you in order to reinstate your joy and peace of mind.

To detoxify simply means to remove foreign or harmful substances from something.

It has a way of making one feel lighter, happier and more at ease.

No one would want to deny self of this pleasurable feeling.

Growing up as a young lady, I had so many reasons to be burdened with several bad energy.

I was bittered for a long time over certain issues surrounding my existence.

They were justified in my thoughts and I carry them around like I was gonna get awarded for it.

Couldn’t speak up, all I did was I avoided occasions or people that had any resemblance to those ordeals.

There was  love around me but I earnestly wanted that of someone who I felt mattered but was missing in my life.

Thought about it daily, cry my eyes out and remained distance even to the ones who were there for me.

I looked gloomy, pained, broken and hardly smiled. I was the young lady who hardly smile.

This went on till I found my way and realized that I was hurting those who were besides me.

I didn’t appreciate the love and care I got and that almost made me loose these people.

After I realized I was on the wrong trail, I worked out my salvation.

I walked up to this person who I’ve wanted his love for a long time and spoke with him.

Told him how his made my life miserable by not being a man to take up his responsibility while I was growing up.

From all he said I realized something, he didn’t deserve the importance I gave him.

After pouring out my mind, I walked out. Had a serious talk with self and started all over again.

I began to appreciate the love I received, I learnt not to over think things or attach importance to people who were distant.

I got emotionally broken but I healed myself and moved on.

There is a love for me that will come and go absolutely no where.

The kind that will make me laugh loudly and smile to myself.

I learnt to keep a clean heart by always removing any harmful thing as soon as I can.

You see, hardly do I keep unnecessary things in my heart.

No offense is unforgivable, we only hold onto it hurting ourselves in the process.

Since I started doing the above my life has become sweeter, I’m the most loveable, smart, beautiful and kind hearted person I know.

Despite all I’ve been through, I wouldn’t let it prevent me from smiling, living my life and smiling broadly.

I tell people, I won’t give you the permission to hurt me and no matter how much you try, you can’t take away the smile on my face.

Since I started leading this lifestyle of having no hurt in my heart for anyone.

Life has become fun, easy and very satisfying for me.

I achieved this by simply detoxifying myself, letting go of all bitterness and making peace with what I have.

You too can do this and I promise you one thing, you will become a different person.

Stop holding on to any form of negativity, it shoots you directly in the leg.

Enter 2020 with a clean spirit and smile through it. Forgiveness ain’t about the person who supposedly hurt you.

Forgiveness is basically for you, it sees you liberated from the hold of negativity and makes your life a happy one.
