When Asisat Oshoala visited Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom
Super Falcons’ striker Asisat Oshoala recently paid a visit to the Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi (Kusenla III).
The Nigerian professional footballer, who plays for Spanish side FC Barcelona Femení in the Primera División as a forward posted pictures of herself and the Oba on her social media handle describing the moment as ‘a great honour’.
The royal father also posted pictures of the visit describing her as ‘a shining example of who we are as Nigerians.’ Adding that he is proud of her career success, which has truly define the true Nigerian story of success through hard work.
He wrote: “Yesterday, one of our best, our female team captain and @fcbfemeni striker; a shining example of who we are as Nigerians, @asisat_oshoala was at the Palace on a courtesy call. I am proud of her career success, which has truly defined our true Nigerian story of success through hard work. It’s a pleasure receiving her and her team and I am also looking forward to collaborating with her on other causes, for the benefit of our children. I thank you, my daughter, for coming around.”
