‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ ends in 2021
After almost 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” reality TV show will be ending in 2021, the Kardashian family have announced.
In separate posts on Instagram, Kris, Kim and Chloe, revealed that the last season will air early next year.
Kris Jenner, the matriarch of the family wrote: “It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
“After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children. We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way.
“Thank you to the thousands of individuals and businesses that have been a part of this experience and, most importantly, a very special thank you to Ryan Seacrest for believing in us, E! for being our partner, and our production team at Bunim/Murray, who’ve spent countless hours documenting our lives.
“Our last season will air early next year in 2021.”
The 64-year-old expressed their gratitude to everyone who has watched and supported their family these past 14 incredible years. “We will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever. Thank you for joining us on this crazy ride!!”
On her part, Kim, admitted that without the show, she wouldn’t be where she is today adding that the show made them who we are and they will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping their careers and changing their lives forever.
“Without Keeping Up with The Kardashians, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has watched and supported me and my family these past 14 incredible years. This show made us who we are and I will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever.”
And for Khloe, she simply wrote: “Change is hard but also needed at times❤️💔❤️💔 I love you all. Thank you for the memories!”
The end of show news announcement is not unexpected as in recent seasons, cracks began to appear between the three sisters, Khloe, Kim and Kourtney, as they rowed over the lack of Kourtney’s dedication to be on the show.
Further doubts arose over the future of the show after Kim did not allow cameras in when her husband, rapper Kanye West, suffered highly-publicised mental health issues earlier this year
The series became a sensation and gave rise to a new kind of fame born of reality TV. It also was the launchpad for several family members’ fashion and beauty business empires and led to Kardashian West’s surprising reinvention as a social justice crusader and aspiring lawyer.
The show’s home, the E! network, said it’s a delayed farewell. The new season begins Sept. 17, with the final season to air in 2021.
The series, which debuted in October 2007, begat 12 spin-offs, including “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami” and “Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian.”
