Oyindamola Olorogun becomes first woman to bear Lagos Assembly mace in 41 years
33-year-old Oyindamola Olorogun has become the first female sergeant-at-arms to bear the mace in the 41 years history of the Lagos Assembly.
Olorogun shocked many as she ushered in the speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, bearing the mace. Her sonorous voice was a soothing balm to all at the Assembly, especially the male folk who gazed at her in wonder and amazement. Even the visiting members from the Borno State House of Assembly were particularly impressed as they were seeing her for the first time.
The mother of two holds an HND from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
She joined the Lagos House of Assembly Service Commission in 2019.
