BBNaija: Like who you like, but no need for fanaticism, Toolz charge fans
On-air personality, Tolu Demuren, popularly knows as Toolz has a word for housemates in the ongoing Big Brother Naija reality show.
In a tweet on Wednesday, the Director of Programmes at Beat 99.9FM she urged them like and support anyone they so wish to, adding there is no need for fanaticism.
Toolz wonders why there is so much toxicity and fanaticism among housemates’ supporters when many may never even meet.
“I HOPE THIS MESSAGE GOES THROUGH
“See!!! I don’t understand the toxicity. Like who you like, support them during and after the show, but no need for fanaticism. It’s scary. All this for someone you may never meet. I love Beyonce die, but I’m not dragging anyone to hell and back cos they don’t like her.”
Toolz is speaking against the backdrop that since the beginning of the show, followership appears to be even more toxic, with people praising the housemate they support and even posting attacking perceived threats on social media.
