Veteran actress and film producer, Ebelle Okaro adds another year today, January 19. She clocks 57.

Born in London and raised in Enugu, Ebelle began acting while attending Primary School. She then proceeded to
Nsukka Queen of the Holy Rosary Secondary School, and also at the University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts.
During her National Youth Service at the Nigerian Television Authority, she took up opportunities for television appearances.
She later joined Nollywood in 1996 and has made numerous appearances in many movies.
In 2014, Ebele Okaro Onyiuke produced and acted in Musical Whispers, a movie that advocates for loving care for children with autism It features other prominent Nigerian actors and actresses, most notably ChiomaChukwuka and Kalu Ikeagwu.
She has become known as the “Mama of Nollywood” and has earned the respect of both fans and colleagues.
Ebele is married into the Onyiuke family and the marriage is blessed with children.
In 2017, Ebele Okaro performance in the movie “4-1 Love” won her the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
