Helen Prest-Ajayi’s husband laid to rest, 10 months after death
The remains of Dr Tosin Ajayi, husband of former beauty queen, Helen Prest-Ajayi, were finally interred on Thursday, February 11.
The burial, which was officiated by Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, came up 10 months after his death at St Nicholas Hospital, Lagos on April 26, 2020.
Present at the ceremony were the widow, Mrs. Helen Prest-Ajayi, their children, friends and family.
“My late husband Dr Tosin Ajayi has finally gone to rest in peace. If any of you happen to bump into m’lady Hon. Justice L.A.F Oluyemi just say THANK YOU on my behalf,” Mrs Prest-Ajayi wrote in a social media post on Friday.
Dr. Ajayi, who was the founder of First Foundation Medical Centre died on April 26, 2020 at St Nicholas Hospital, Lagos, after battling with kidney problem. And though he died during the COVID-19 pandemicwhich led to the lockdown across the country, his friends and associates were determined that he would get a befitting burial, while complying with the lockdown restrictions.
However, that was not to be, as events that played out within the family led to the long stay of his corpse in the morgue.
