Serena Williams’ sends message to fans after Australia Open exit
Ater losing 6-3 6-4 to Naomi Osaka in the Australian Open semi-finals on Thursday, tennis star, Serena Williams has sent a word to her numerous fans.
In a post on Instagram, the 23-Grand Slam singles winner admitted it was just not ideal outcome or performance, but it happens.
While wishing she could have done better, she thanked them for their support.
“Melbourne and my Australian fans- Today was not ideal outcome or performance but it happens… I am so honored to be able to play in front of you all. Your support -your cheers, I only wish I could have done better for you today. I am forever in debt and grateful to each and everyone single one of you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I adore you.”
Meanwhile, reports says the 39-year-old broke down in tears before cutting short her post-match news conference.
