Adele, Husband Finalise Divorce – Two Years After Announcing Split
Adele, Grammy-winning singer, has finalised her divorce from Simon Konecki, her estranged husband, nearly two years after the duo announced their decision to split.
The ‘Rolling In The Deep’ crooner had filed for divorce from Konecki in 2019 while stating that they would remain committed to raising their son together.
According to US Weekly, a judge signed off on their divorce settlement on Thursday, meaning the 32-year-old British songstress is now officially divorced from her 46-year-old ex-husband.
It is understood that Adele and her Konecki had submitted a judgement packet in February but it was not signed by the judge.
In the packet filed by Adele, the pair opted to determine rights to community property and debts through mediation while both parties represented themselves in the case.
Adele had gotten married to Konecki, an investment banker, in 2016 after five years of dating. In 2012, she gave birth to Angelo, their child.
It was gathered that the English singer-songwriter and Simon have been living across the street from each other in Los Angeles as they co-parent their child amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
