Seyilaw recounts first time he obtained visa to South Africa
Nigerian comedian, Seyilaw has been reminiscing on when he obtained his first visa to travel to South Africa in 2008. A trip he took in the company of the then Mohit Crews.
According to him, his family knelt round his passport, using it as a point of contact to more open doors of visas. And though the show was cancelled, but it was a journey with many memories.
In a post on Instagram, he recalled how
cracked the whole plane up so much that Don Jazzy and DBanj had to come to the economy cabin to peep.
Years on, Seyi says he looks back, he is appreciative of what was and never regret what could have been.
“It was in the year 2008, I had obtained my first visa to South Africa and had to travel in the company of the then Mohit Crews. I remembered my family kneeling around my passport and using it as a point of contact to more open doors of visas. 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Life had happened to us sha.
“On the flight from Lagos to Jo’burg, I cracked the whole plane up so much, D’banj, @iamdbanj and Don Baba J, @donjazzy had to come to the economy cabin to peep. It was a river of flowing joy in my heart. A trip that was a beningining sorry, beginingin, you understand sha. The start of the journey to many.
“Though, the show was cancelled, but it was a journey with many memories. I remember falling in love with @omawonder. Yes, she is so free-spirited, you can’t but love her. How about me cooking stew for the whole house in our apartment? And that trip heralded my love for PS cause I bought my PS3 on that trip and I remember telling the shop owner I know Aki and Pawpaw and they were literally worshipping me. A gift of a 100 Rand (N2000) was highly celebrated.
“Years later, I look back and count my blessings and appreciate what was and never regret what could have been.”
