Let’s fight a worthy fight -Tonto Dikeh appeals to colleagues
Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh has reacted to reports that Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, who was arrested for allegedly defiling a child would soon be released.
Tonto has called on her colleagues to stop attacking one another, to avoid losing focus, in what she tagged as a ‘war’.
Since the news broke about the case broke, Nollywood actors and actresses have been reacting, with some calling for the head of the accused, while others called for caution in dealing with the case.
The case took a new turn on Thursday, when the Lagos State Police Command, has been issued to release the accused from police custody within the next 24 hours, saying that Baba Ijesha did not defile the victim, and the victim also confirmed it when questioned.
Besides, the police stated that due to the ongoing strike by members of the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria, this has made it impossible for the courts to sit, and the suspect could not be detained indefinitely without trial.
In a cryptic message on Instagram, Tonto noted that they’ve been fighting each other and under their noses, the accused will soon be released.
