Stand out in Monochrome
By Yemisi Suleiman
Dressing head to toe in a single colour may sound discouraging, but it is one of the easiest ways to elevate your look.
Presently, one-colour ensembles are taking over the runways, and frequently pop up on the red carpet and Instagram.
Whether in a bold red or cerulean blue, a monochrome outfit makes getting dressed easier than you can imagine; just grab a top and bottom of the same or similar colours, and you are basically done. With this strategy, pulling together an outfit has never been easier because, you won’t have to worry if two pieces coordinate.
However, a few tips to keep in mind: You don’t necessarily need to have pieces in the exact same shade to make this look work. And, if you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, try adding a contrasting pop of colour in your shoes or accessories.
To get you started, here are some of our favourite monochrome outfits worth copying.
