Bolanle Olukanni cautions on living in isolation

August 9,2021

TV host, Bolanle Olukanni has shared her thoughts on living a solitary life.

She believes that living as a loner is an irrational occurrence which many slowly are being deceived to think it’s okay.

In a post on her Instagram page tagged words to live by, Bolanle believes that while it vital to guard one’s heart, discern when it is becoming excessive and unnecessary, it is also essential to be of service to someone, to a group, and the to the world, by extension.

Here is her post: “The crazy thing about our time is that we are slowly being deceived to think it’s okay to live in a vacuum. Alone. Solo. Without anything that “serves” us. Here is my question if we are all adamant on being served who is doing the serving? I understand mental health and boundaries. But before we get to that place of cutting off people, riding solo …we need to understand that life flourishes in groups and communities. We need less walls and more bridges. I get protecting your heart but instead of building a wall, ask God to give you spiritual eyes so you can see beyond the current chaos in the relationships that maybe going through a drought. It’s not always flowers and rivers. Sometimes it’s weeds and stones but if you till the garden. It will flourish. Nothing is dead ❤️ #wordstoliveby”
