Bassey E Bassey makes case for Tega, queries why trolls gave Boma easy pass
Nigerian actor’s Bassey Ekpo Bassey has called on all trolling recently evicted Big Brother Naija housemate, Tega Dominic, to breathe and think about her mental health.
The actor, known for his role as Kaza, in the popular TV series, Halita, in a post on Instagram wondered why people calling for Tega’s head, seem to have simply given Boma, whom she is accused of engaging in amorous relationship with, seem to have gotten off easy.
“She didn’t sleep with herself you know? It does take two to tango. How come society always gives the man an easy pass.”
Bassey noted that it is her prerogative to pick up the pieces of her marriage and salvage it if she wants.
“ABOUT TEGA
“I don’t watch Big brother. Okay may be a little…small…in passing…okay I watch😁not.
It doesn’t matter. What matters is Tega and her mental health. I am not giving her a free pass and the day I see her I will tell her I didn’t like her strategy. It coulda been better but can we all breathe?
She’s human. ‘Crucify her crucify her’ we all cry but what of Boma? He seems to have gotten off easy. She didn’t sleep with herself you know? It does take two to tango. How come society always gives the man an easy pass.
She’s loose, she’s this, she’s that! Even if I agree with you, what does that make Boma? A man? Look there’s no denying the fact that she effed up but the outpouring of hatred is unprecedented. She isn’t the first person to sleep with someone in that house and she won’t be the last.
Should big brother sign up married people? That will be a good conversation. Virile young men and women with raging hormones, together; locked up for three months.
She will pick up the pieces, her marriage is left for her to salvage if she wants to but it’s her prerogative.
It’s amazing how some people are screaming blue murder. I mean those committing adultery in ‘private’. A sin is a sin. Doesn’t matter if I sin differently.
She is human. She is Nigerian. Let’s let her heal. My people have a saying “ñse sin Ikwa, m’bak ke bak. “I stabbed but I didn’t cut”. The prodigal daughter is back. It’s time to clothe her. #bigbother #bigbrothernaija #bigbrother #basi #basispeaks #basiwrites @its_tegadominic @teamtegabigbrother.”
