The most appropriate outfit for work is formal wear. Naturally, one is required to wear certain primary colours like black, red or white to the office. It’s on rare occasions that brighter colours are accepted. Here are some creative ways to brighten up work outfits without looking too extravagant or unofficial.

Jazz up your LBD

Jazz up your plain little black dress with a nice full pearl necklace, white shoes and finish with a white or silver bag. Another way to go is by replacing the necklace with a nice floral scarf.

Wear sandals instead of coloured shoes

Formal work outfits usually require one to wear covered shoes as opposed to sandals but if your feet are well pedicured and nails well painted, then opt for a nice pair of heeled sandals, paired with a studded bag.

Wear hoop earrings instead of studs

Studs may be simple and comfortable for work but if you’re in the mood for something more playful, try out a pair or hoop earrings paired with plain bangles and a silver wrist watch.

Do a nice nude tote

Pair a plain jumpsuit with a white blazer and finish with a nude tote hand bag. Voila!
