Fun at FUNWINE tasting in Lagos
It was fun all the way at the official briefing and wine tasting of Fun wine in Lagos Nigeria. The event which took place at Studio 24 Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, was a way of sensitizing the public on the availability of this wine in a can.
Speaking at the event, Yariv Brosh, Founder and GMD of the new African initiative, and interim CEO of Intercontinental Wine and Beverages Nigeria Limited, who gave a brief history of Fun wine, said Funwine started in the mind of one of the world’s best food and beverage specialists, Mr. Joe Peele. He revealed that Funwine was created as an affordable-Healthy-Tasty-RTD-Flavoured red Wine packed in quality aluminum slim cans and bottles. The new wine he said, contains vitamins, low alcohol (only 6%) and low nutrition value compared with the alternatives.
He announced that “the company is planning to establish a winery and a filling facility in Nigeria within 2017, to create job opportunities for the Nigerian masses.”
Funwine which started in America, is currently available in 42 Countries around the Globe with Nigeria being the first in Africa.
