Conjoined twins survive sepation operation in US

Miracle and Testimony Ayeni who were conjoined at birth have been separated after a successful operation at the Le Bonheur Children’s hospital in Memphis, USA. The girls had been conjnoined at the lower half of their body( pelvic region).
Multiple news outlets report the 1-year-old twins had a successful 18-hour operation.
Arik Air sponsored their flight. The babies were born on Nov.16, 2015 at St. Patrick Hospital Enugu, to Mr Samuel Olusegun Ayeni and Mrs Mary Abiodun Ayeni, both of Kogi State.
The twin girls, who are conjoined in the pelvic region, were taken to The University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu, immediately after delivery. They were then moved to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), before being flown out of the country for the major surgery.
