Not getting good results from your daily regimen? Not comfortable with certain body conditions/changes and you are sceptical about going under the knife? Then, these non-surgical procedures are just for you! Problems like dull complexion, wrinkles, sunburn, sags, scars, stretch marks and puffy tummies can be treated instantly with no surgical incisions to the skin, and minimal down time.  Below are some of the relatively safe technological procedures available for you.

laser therapy

laser therapy

Laser
This involves use of machines that deliver intense beam of light into specific areas of the skin in a bid to correct certain conditions. The word ‘LASER’ is originally an acronym for “Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation”. It is used for different purposes including treating scars, lines wrinkles, acne, sun damage, stretch marks, and varicose veins, remove warts, tattoos and unwanted hair. There are several types of Lasers with different settings to perform different function.  Most popular are the Erbium (YAG laser) and the carbon dioxide or CO2 lasers which have same skin-smoothing and rejuvenating effect. However the YAG laser is more effective and has quicker healing time.

Microdermabrasion
This is an advanced form of skin exfoliation using a hand-held machine to gently remove the skin’s outermost layer, leaving it very smooth, soft, firm and glowing. This treatment is particularly effective in treating acne spots, scars, wrinkles, and sunburn. Unlike traditional dermabrasion, microdermabrasion is not painful and does not require anaesthesia. Sophisticated devices such as the Diamond Microdermabrasion Device have the added advantage of treating the skin with no discomfort at all. Results are instant and treatments can be repeated as often as necessary.

Cryolipolysis

Cryolipolysis

Cryolipolysis
This is a ‘fat freezing’ procedure that is used for body contouring. A suction-like device is attached to a machine that is placed on areas of the body where you want fat reduced. The procedure uses extremely low temperature to freeze fat cells till the point where they crystalize and then die. Subsequently, the dead fat cells are eliminated from your body through natural means.
So far, this procedure has proved effective in considerably reducing fat in areas like the stomach, arms, thighs and back without any damage to the skin on the surface.  While the results are not as drastic and instant as the traditional liposuction, Cryolipolysis requires no anaesthesia and no recovery time. Visible results can be noticed within weeks of treatment and profound improvements will be seen months after treatment.
