Lion King actor, Robert Guillaume dies at 89

Hollywood and movie enthusiasts generally are mourning the death of talented actor, Robert Guillaume, who died on Tuesday at his home in Los Angeles at the age of 89 after he had battled prostate cancer in recent years.

His wife, Donna Guillaume confirmed the news and said:
“He kinda went the way everyone wishes they could, surrounded by love and in his sleep”.
Guillaume,who voiced Rafiki in The Lion King , is also best known for his title role in Televison series ” Benson” and he also played Isaac Jaffe in Sports Night. He earned a Tony nomination for his role in Guys & Dolls and two Emmys for his work on the sitcoms.
He is survived by four children, all of whom had spent time visiting with their father in his final weeks.
